The AI-Translation feature lets you instantly translate your content into all the languages activated in your hotel. It’s a quick and reliable way to reach guests in their preferred language, without needing to translate manually.

AI-Translation is powered by OpenAI, with servers based in the USA.
However, only public App content is sent—no guest or personal data is ever transmitted.

The feature works in all text fields—whether you're adding a new activity, editing a booking confirmation message, or updating a Shopping Cart.

It helps you maintain as many languages in your App as relevant, with minimal effort, and keeps all language versions of your content in sync when editing them.

We recommend using AI-Translate only for languages with left-to-right alphabets (like English, Spanish, or French) for the best App experience. To add languages to your App, please refer to this article.

Overview of missing translations

To help you monitor and manage translations across your app, you can head to the Content Quality page in your Hotel Settings. This page shows missing translations across:

  • Hotel Information

  • Services

  • Activities

Currently, this page includes top-level content only, meaning the title and text description fields on each content item. It does not include other elements such as items inside the Shopping cart. This page is organized by language, to switch between them, simply use the language tab.

💡Invisible content is also included to make sure your seasonal content is also guest-ready.

If a translation is missing, you can click on the content item to edit it. Inside the item, a yellow badge appears in front of each language tab with a translation missing. Click on the Auto-translate button (as described here) to generate the translations and press Save at the bottom of the page.

How to use Auto-Translate

1. Open or create a new content item and enter your text

Start by entering your content in the base language—this is the language you’re most comfortable writing in. Simply use the language tabs at the top of the page to switch to your base language.

💡Items with missing translations will be highlighted in your content lists with an exclamation mark next to the Edit button.

2. Click the Auto-translate button

In each text field (title, description, etc.), you’ll see an Auto-translate button. After entering your content, click it to translate the field into all available languages.

You can now switch language (using the tabs on top of the page) to make manual adjustments if needed.

You will be notified if a text has been translated by AI with the following badge:

How to translate an item manually entered

Content you entered manually will never be overwritten by Auto-Translate. This protects your work at all times.

If a field already contains manual input, you’ll see a message when trying to auto-translate it, notifying you that the tool left it untouched.

Here is how to auto-translate this content:

  1. Delete the content in the target language(s)

  2. Return to the base language

  3. Click Auto-translate again

How to avoid translating certain words or names

Some words—like restaurant names, brand terms, or locations—should stay in their original language. To prevent Auto-Translate from changing these, you can add them to your list of Protected Words.

  1. Go to Hotel Settings > AI Translations

  2. Enter any words you don’t want translated

  3. Scroll down to view or manage your existing list—you can delete words at any time

Human approval workflow

If you want full control over the accuracy of your AI-generated translations, you can enable an optional approval by a human. Once this feature is activated, all AI-generated translations will appear on the Content Quality page until approved.

Click on any item needing approval—the languages still awaiting approval will be highlighted with a yellow badge. Select a language tab, make edits if needed, then click on the yellow “Approve AI translation” button to confirm the translation. Once done, make sure to press Save.
