Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Hotel MSSNGR account by requiring staff to log in with both their password and a one-time code from an authenticator app on their phone (such as Google or Microsoft Authenticator).
What you’ll need
Admin access to Hotel Settings
Each staff member should have:
Their own Hotel MSSNGR login
A personal smartphone with an authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator)
💡Shared logins aren’t supported. 2FA requires each user to have their own account and device.
Step 1: Enable 2FA for your hotel
Go to Hotel Settings/General
Scroll to the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) section and tick the box
Click Save
Once enabled, all staff users will be asked to set up 2FA the next time they log in.
Step 2: Staff set up their devices
After 2FA is turned on:
Each team member logs in with their usual credentials
They’ll be prompted to scan a QR code using an authenticator app
The app will generate a one-time code
They enter the code to complete the log in
