Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Hotel MSSNGR account by requiring staff to log in with both their password and a one-time code from an authenticator app on their phone (such as Google or Microsoft Authenticator).

What you’ll need

  • Admin access to Hotel Settings

  • Each staff member should have:

    1. Their own Hotel MSSNGR login

    2. A personal smartphone with an authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator)

💡Shared logins aren’t supported. 2FA requires each user to have their own account and device.

Step 1: Enable 2FA for your hotel

  1. Go to Hotel Settings/General

  2. Scroll to the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) section and tick the box

  3. Click Save

Once enabled, all staff users will be asked to set up 2FA the next time they log in.

Step 2: Staff set up their devices

After 2FA is turned on:

  1. Each team member logs in with their usual credentials

  2. They’ll be prompted to scan a QR code using an authenticator app

  3. The app will generate a one-time code

  4. They enter the code to complete the log in
