This article in a nutshell:

  • By default, Digital Signage and In-Room TV Streams will display all activities happening in your hotel over the next 3 days.

  • You can however select the specific content displayed on your Digital Signage and In-Room TV Streams by creating Content Sets.

  • Content Sets can be reused across different streams, making the creation of streams easier.

  • This article shows you how to create and manage your Content Sets. For more information on Streams, please refer to this article.

When managing your Digital Signage and In-Room TV Streams, you can display all activities happening in your hotel over the next 3 days (this is the default setting).

However, you can also select the content to be displayed in your Streams by creating Content Sets. In essence, a Content Set is a library of the content that will be displayed on a Stream. There are a few ways to create a Content Sets, which are described in detail in this article:

  • By using the Interest filter

  • By adding the content items manually

  • By importing the content items of a MICE event

How to activate Content Sets

Regardless of the content selection method, the first step towards Content Sets is to activate them by toggling the button "Select specific content".

💡All Content Sets must be named for later retrieval.

A) Create a Content Set using Interest filtering

The Interest feature offers a convenient way to classify and filter content. This requires you to maintain the Interest feature for all your content items. For more information on Interests, please refer to this article.

Note that you can combine the Interest method described here with the second method explained in the article: selecting individual content items.

You can display all content items that fall into the selected Interest. For example, for the Stream "Spa Screens," you can select the Interest: Wellness and Spa by ticking its box.

All content items with this Interest will then be displayed automatically, even the content items created after the Content Set.

B) Create a Content Set by selecting individual content items

This option is suitable if you prefer to have full control over the Content Set, directly from the Digital Signage interface without needing to manage Interest filtering. This option is replacing the tagging system previously used.

Note that you can combine the method described here with the first method explained in this article: selecting content using Interest filtering.

Step 1: Select the content type you wish to add to your Content Set

Click on one of the three content types offered by Hotel MSSNGR: Activities, Services, or Hotel Information.

Step 2: Select the content items to display

Simply select the content items you wish to add to your Content Set and click on "Apply selection."

💡If relevant, repeat the steps above to add any other content item of another type.

C) Import the content from a MICE event into a Content Set

If you use the MICE feature and would like to create a Stream dedicated to a specific MICE event, you can import and display the content relevant to the event. Simply select the event from the MICE dropdown menu.

Note that with this method can not be combined with any other content selection method.

How to reuse a Content Set

When creating a new Stream, you can easily import an existing Content Set by toggling the button "Use existing content set" and selecting the corresponding pre-existing Content Set.
