Starting this October 15th a Trader status will be required to submit app updates. If you’re a trader, you’ll need to provide your trader information before you can submit your app for review.
💡 If the update to a trader account does not happen we won't be able to update your app anymore.
🚨 If you have not updated to a Trader account by the 17th of February 2025 your App will be removed from the AppStore in the EU until your Trader status is provided and verified
In this article you will find step by step directions on how to easily set the account up as a Trader account.
This will allow us to create your app and update it periodically. To continue, please have a email address, a phone number that can receive texts on it and a document (ie. a business card) which features the email address you will be using to confirm its legitimacy.
Go to https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/apps to start. There you will find a link named "Complete Compliance Requirements". Click on this link as highlighted below:
The next three steps will be to click on either "Complete Compliance Requirements" or on "Complete Compliance Requirements for your app name"
Then you will see the following pop up to start the verification process:
Select the option "I'm a trader under the DSA" and click "Next".
Fill in the email address and phone number on this page and click "Next":
You will receive an email with a 6-digit code. Enter this code on this screen and click on "Next":
After that you will receive a text message with a similar 6-digit code. Enter this here and click "Next":
If there is an issue with the verification, there will be an additional step. This will require you to upload an image verifying your email address is attached to the email that you have given. Complete this step if needed, otherwise this will not show up.
The final step is an overview of all your information. Once looked over, click "Confirm" to complete the process.
Once this is done, inform our CSM team via the chat bubble and we will start creating your app!
