Shopping carts are an enriching addition to the booking function, allowing your guests to book multiple items through an entry. It, for example, allows your guests to book a tennis lesson and rent tennis equipment at the same time.
💡In this article, we will explain what shopping carts are, how they work for different types of bookings, and how staff can manage them. To set them up, refer to this article.
Service Bookings
A shopping cart example for Service bookings could be a bike rental entry to which your guests can add equipment like helmets, bike locks or maps when booking a bike.
Hotel information bookings
💡Hotel information bookings encompass Table, Sports Court, Sports Gear, Seat, and Day Bed bookings.
A shopping cart example for hotel information bookings could be a sauna visit entry to which your guests can add towels, bathrobes or small snacks.
Activity bookings
A shopping cart example for activity bookings could be a wine-tasting activity to which your guests can add different wines.
Shopping Cart booking management
In the Data Management Hub, a shopping cart icon indicates if a booking has a shopping cart attached. Open the details of this booking, and find the shopping cart items attached at the bottom as depicted below.
Adding shopping cart items to a booking placed by staff
Bookings placed by staff can also have shopping cart items attached. When creating the booking on the guest's behalf, if the bookable item has a shopping cart, a window will prompt staff members to enter the items wished by the guest.
